1. Reservations

How can I reserve a vehicle?

You can book directly through our website by selecting the pick-up location, rental dates, times and available vehicle. You may also contact us by email for special requests.

Is the reservation automatically confirmed?

Receiving a request or order confirms that we have received your enquiry. The reservation remains subject to actual vehicle availability, data verification and confirmation by Royalrent Marbella.

Can I modify my reservation?

Yes. You may request changes to the date, time, vehicle or delivery location. Modifications depend on availability and may result in price differences.

2. Documentation

What documents do I need to rent a car?

You must present a valid ID card or passport, a valid driving licence and the necessary information required for the reservation and invoicing process.

Do I need an international driving permit?

This depends on the country that issued your driving licence. If your licence is not issued within the European Union or is not recognised for driving in Spain, an international driving permit may be required.

Can another person drive the vehicle?

Only drivers authorised by Royalrent Marbella may drive the vehicle. Any additional driver must be communicated in advance and provide valid documentation.

3. Payments & Deposit

Which payment methods do you accept?

We may offer online payment, bank transfer or payment upon vehicle collection, depending on availability and the active configuration at the time of booking.

Is there a fee for cash payments?

Yes. If the customer selects cash payment upon vehicle collection, a €30 handling fee may apply and will be displayed during the booking process.

What is the security deposit?

The deposit is used to cover potential damages, delays, extraordinary cleaning, missing fuel, fines, lost keys or other charges resulting from the use of the vehicle.

When is the deposit returned?

The deposit is returned once the vehicle has been inspected and confirmed free of damages, pending charges or breaches of the rental conditions.

4. Delivery & Return

Where can I collect the vehicle?

Vehicle collection can be arranged in Marbella or other agreed locations depending on availability. Certain delivery services may require prior confirmation or additional charges.

Can the car be delivered to a hotel or airport?

We may arrange deliveries to hotels, Puerto Banús, Marbella, Málaga or the airport depending on operational availability. This must be confirmed before the final reservation.

What happens if I return the vehicle late?

Returning the vehicle outside the agreed schedule may result in additional charges, especially if it affects other reservations or requires extraordinary operational arrangements.

Do I need to return the vehicle clean?

The vehicle must be returned in reasonable condition. Excessive dirt, stains, persistent odours, excessive sand or waste may result in cleaning charges.

5. Insurance & Damages

Does the rental include insurance?

Vehicles include the legally required insurance coverage. Specific conditions, excess amounts and exclusions may vary depending on the vehicle and will be communicated before or during the rental process.

What should I do in case of an accident?

You must contact Royalrent Marbella immediately, follow the instructions provided and, where applicable, complete an accident report or contact the authorities.

Which damages may not be covered?

Damages caused by negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, misuse, interior damage, wheels, tyres, windows, underbody damage, lost keys or unauthorised drivers may not be covered.

6. Vehicle Use

Can I leave Spain with the vehicle?

Leaving Spain with the vehicle is not permitted without prior written authorisation from Royalrent Marbella.

Is smoking allowed inside the vehicle?

No. Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply may result in cleaning and deodorising charges.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are only allowed with prior authorisation. Additional cleaning charges may apply if the vehicle requires special treatment.

Is there a mileage limit?

Mileage policies may vary depending on the vehicle, rental duration and booking conditions. Any mileage limits or additional charges will be communicated before confirming the rental.

7. Cancellations

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes. You may request cancellation in writing. Conditions depend on the cancellation timing, services already arranged and the applicable cancellation policy.

What happens if I do not show up?

In case of no-show, the reservation may be considered non-refundable and charges may apply for management, travel, vehicle preparation or blocked availability.
