Cancellation and Refund Policy

This Cancellation and Refund Policy governs the conditions applicable to vehicle reservations made with Royalrent Marbella through the website https://rentalcarmarbella.es or through other authorised communication channels.
By making a reservation, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted this policy, as well as the Rental Terms and Conditions published on this website.
1. Reservation confirmation
The automatic receipt of a request or order does not necessarily imply the final confirmation of the rental. Reservations remain subject to actual vehicle availability, data verification, documentation validation, payment conditions and confirmation by Royalrent Marbella.
Royalrent Marbella may contact the customer to confirm reservation details, delivery location, schedule, documentation, payment method, security deposit or any other information necessary for the proper provision of the service.
2. Cancellation by the customer
Customers may request cancellation of a reservation by writing to: servicio@rentalcarmarbella.es. The request must include the full name, reservation or order number, reserved vehicle and rental dates.

3. Customer no-show
A no-show will be considered when the customer does not arrive at the agreed delivery location, does not respond to reasonable contact attempts, fails to provide the necessary documentation or does not meet the minimum conditions required for vehicle delivery.
In the event of a no-show, Royalrent Marbella may cancel the reservation and apply the corresponding charges, including amounts already paid, management fees, delivery costs, vehicle preparation or loss of availability.
4. Reservation modifications
Requests to modify the rental date, time, vehicle, delivery location or rental duration must be submitted in writing. Royalrent Marbella will attempt to accommodate the request whenever availability and operational conditions allow.
Any modification may result in price differences, additional charges or updated rental conditions. Modifications will not be considered accepted until expressly confirmed by Royalrent Marbella.
5. Cancellation by Royalrent Marbella
Royalrent Marbella may cancel a reservation for justified reasons, including lack of actual availability, breakdowns, accidents, delayed previous returns, technical errors, evident pricing errors, insufficient documentation, non-payment, suspected fraud or breach of rental conditions.
In such cases, Royalrent Marbella may offer an alternative vehicle of a similar category, modify the reservation by mutual agreement or refund any applicable paid amounts.
6. Refunds
When a refund applies, it will be processed whenever possible using the same payment method used by the customer. Processing times may vary depending on the bank, payment provider or selected payment method.
- Banking fees, payment gateway commissions or already incurred costs may be non-refundable where legally applicable.
- Additional services already provided or processed may be deducted from the refundable amount.
- Refunds remain subject to internal review and reservation verification.
- In the event of a technical error or incorrect charge, Royalrent Marbella will review the case and issue the corresponding refund where appropriate.
7. Security deposit
The security deposit does not necessarily form part of the rental price. Its purpose is to cover potential damages, delays, extraordinary cleaning, missing fuel, fines, lost keys, administrative charges, contractual breaches or other amounts arising from vehicle use.
The deposit will be returned fully or partially once the vehicle has been inspected and confirmed free of pending charges. If damages, incidents or pending amounts are identified, Royalrent Marbella may deduct them from the deposit, without prejudice to claiming additional amounts if costs exceed the deposited amount.
8. Early vehicle return
If the customer returns the vehicle before the agreed date or time, no automatic refund will apply for unused days, hours or services unless expressly agreed in writing with Royalrent Marbella.
9. Late return or delayed delivery
Returning the vehicle outside the agreed schedule may result in additional charges. If the delay affects other reservations, operational planning or requires additional staff movement, extra fees may apply.
10. Right of withdrawal
For vehicle rental services reserved for a specific date or period, the general 14-day withdrawal right applicable to many online purchases may not apply. Therefore, cancellations and refunds will be governed by the specific conditions described in this policy and in the Rental Terms and Conditions.
11. Force majeure
In extraordinary situations beyond the reasonable control of the parties, such as extreme weather conditions, legal restrictions, emergencies, serious technical failures, accidents or force majeure events, Royalrent Marbella may propose a reservation modification, an alternative vehicle, a voucher or an appropriate refund depending on the specific circumstances.
12. Complaints
If the customer wishes to submit a complaint related to a cancellation, refund, deposit or reservation, they may contact Royalrent Marbella at: servicio@rentalcarmarbella.es.
The complaint must include the customer’s full name, reservation or order number, rental dates, reserved vehicle and a clear description of the issue.
13. Relationship with other conditions
This Cancellation and Refund Policy must be read together with the Rental Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and any specific information communicated during the reservation process.
14. Updates to this policy
Royalrent Marbella may update this policy to adapt it to operational, technical, legal or commercial changes. The current version will always be available on this page.
